On the Monday before Mother's Day, the Fred Jordan Mission provides hundreds of impoverished mothers with an early Mother’s Day gift. This gift is a complete makeover which includes a manicure, facial, make-up, and hair styling along with a luncheon, gift bags and food bags.

The mothers experience the best in beauty care, given by some of the area’s top make-up artists, hair professionals, manicurists, and facialists. Beauticians that have contributed their talents to this wonderful event have included Paul Mitchell’s Jeanne Braa, the Vidal Sassoon Academy, Emmy-nominated Marvin Westmore, Sculpt Salon, Ginger Boyle and Planet Salon, Savvy Hair & Nail Salon of Glendora, Barbara Walden Cosmetics, the editors of NAILS Magazine, and the talented students of Citrus Cosmetology College.
